clinics and such

Here we are in June, and we have been busting our bums getting the horses fit and ready to go to camp, as well as survive our intense Missy lessons which we've had just about twice a week. Clinics with Pat as a supplement and then hills and canter sets when we have a down day. It's been a lot of riding, which is awesome (!)  and i am sure, with our schedule it will continue to be a gangbuster of a summer.

Our new addition to the team is Angela. She started part time, and helps us out most mornings and an afternoon or two, honing her riding skills with Missy as well and learning the nitty gritty about our horses and how we do things around here.

All in all, we've been pretty busy, and are about to start our camp weeks. First off is the Phillip Dutton Even Camp, then one week at home, and then the following week we will spend in Lexington Virginia for the O'Conner Event Camp. So far, this has meant lots of list making and organizing of things we havent used since florida. We've just finished packing for the first camp, and are doing pretty well on the second list.... and with three, possibly four horses going to virginia, and there is a bunch of packing and logistics to fine tune. But we are getting super good at it!

Our horses are remembering what it means to be working animals again which could be hard, but they seem to be enjoying having jobs to do. Plus it's already been pretty exciting and lots of varied activities (including teaching the new boys, Dylan and Bouncer how much fun playing in the water is!)

As for now, i can hear the boys pawing at their doors and screaming impatiently for dinner. They are a better clock than any other i know!
