Phillip Dutton Eventing Academy

Jen and I just arrived at camp. Well, let me clarify. we arrived at True Prospect Farm around 2pm with Dylan and Wynton and a fully loaded truck and trailer. We were greeted by a gaggle of folks and directed to our stalls, which are quite big, although a bit dark, but beggers cant be choosers. Plus, our horses seem super happy so far, though they havent had to go to work yet.) The stalls were generously bedded with srtaw, and the boys went in and made themselves at home munching away on hay (for the most part... wynton tested out the straw bedding too. bad boy) while we unpacked the necessities for tomorrow. We set up a nice little staging area for ourselves, ill try and remember to take a photo tomorrow.

Tomorrow will start with Dressage wit Phillip, and then flat work with Ryan Wood. My first ride time is 8:30-9, jen following directly after, then we have an hour until our next ride. We will have the afternoon off, which we intend to spend watching other people get their bums kicked, and maybe exploring the properties a little. If we can.

We brought every kind of recording equipment we own that is pocket sized so we can photograph and video everything form horse back if need be. So get ready!

speaking of which.....

(you'll see why wynton looks so excited in the next photo)

smooshed by happy. i mean. their faces were stuffed in a smorgasbord !

i feel like a kid again. (inside were mini candy bars, zero/diet soda, and water)

the tack room of the trailer. near full capacity

Dylan looking little in his stall.

wynton looking a little sleepy and hoping for cookies
dinner. (plus food, i promise)
We are staying at Missy's, which is amazing. She stocked her fridge with yummy adult beverages and her cabinet with caffeinated ones for the morning.

missy is coming back tomorrow evening, and we are going to try and kidnap her and take her out to dinner in thanks for letting us crash at her house. (and for being a super gracious host. i mean, there are six+ kinds of coffee, and she doesnt even drink it!)

Anyway. I am super excited, but also a little stiff. so now i am going to go do my nightly yoga, jen is off to bed, and i am hoping i get to snuggle with missy's extremely large, slightly pushy about love, and very fluffy cat tonight.

until tomorrow.
